Listed on London Stock Exchange; Member of the FTSE 250 Index.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>We design and manufacture ceramic-to-metal seals used in implantable medical devices and critical aerospace applications. In plain terms: our work helps improve quality of life and keeps people safe when they travel.We're looking for a Quality Manager who cares about more than audits and paperwork. This role sits on the site leadership team and has real influence on how the business runs, how problems get solved, and how confident our customers feel.If you like building systems that actually work (not just tick boxes), you'll feel at home here.</p> <p>The role</p> <p>You'll lead quality for the site, reporting to the Site Leader and partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain. Your job is to drive stable processes, reduce variation, and use data to prevent issues before they reach a customer.You'll own the quality management system, lead regulatory and customer interactions, and build a team that takes pride in doing things right the first time.</p> <p>Key responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead and maintain site quality systems (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, ISO 14001, NADCAP) as Management Representative </li><li>Make sure the quality system improves performance, not just compliance </li><li>Drive SPC, process monitoring, control plans, and validation to reduce variation </li><li>Lead root cause and corrective actions that fix problems for good </li><li>Partner with Operations and Engineering to standardise processes and remove workarounds </li><li>Use data and analytics to spot trends, risks, and opportunities early </li><li>Act as the main quality contact for key customers, audits, and regulatory bodies </li><li>Lead supplier quality strategy, development, and escalation for critical suppliers </li><li>Support NPI launches to ensure quality is built in from day one </li><li>Build, coach, and develop a high-performing quality team </li><li>Lead site-level continuous improvement focused on yield, scrap, and defect prevention </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>What you'll bring</p> <ul> <li>A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) </li><li>5+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally aerospace and/or medical devices </li><li>Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, CFR 21 Part 820, and NADCAP </li><li>Experience using data, SPC, and structured problem solving to improve processes </li><li>The confidence to challenge, influence, and align cross-functional teams </li><li>A leadership style that's clear, respectful, and accountable </li><li>The ability to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the important ones </li><li>Comfort working in regulated environments with ITAR, EAR, and CUI requirements </li><li>Eligibility to work as a U.S. Person under 22 CFR §120.15 </li></ul> <p>Nice to have</p> <ul> <li>ASQ-CQE certification </li><li>Experience with ceramics or advanced materials </li><li>Background in supplier development or NPI quality </li></ul> <p>What you'll get</p> <ul> <li>Salary range: $125,000 - $145,000 </li><li>A leadership role with real visibility and influence </li><li>A business that invests in quality and continuous improvement </li><li>The chance to work on products that genuinely matter </li><li>Supportive, experienced teams who value collaboration over politics </li></ul> <p>Morgan Advanced Materials is an EEO/AA/M/W/D/V Employer.</p> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions of this job.</p> <p>This job description does not state or imply that all duties to be performed are specifically identified above.
