This prospective individual will work with the fabrication shop and project field teams to ensure quality expectations are being achieved and ASME code requirements are being met. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely with team members, peers, and various levels of management, as well as the ability to diagnose fabrication issues and take appropriate action, is critical to success.</p> <p>Your Day-to-Day at Murphy Company</p> <p>Perform job walks pre, during, and post completion, including:</p> <ul> <li>Weld inspection in field and shop </li><li>Weld tracking </li><li>Welder qualifications and associated documentation </li><li>NDT coordination and interfacing with third-party inspectors </li><li>Interfacing with client QAQC representatives and inspectors </li><li>Generate and distribute weekly QAQC reports </li><li>Assembly of final turnover packages </li></ul> <p>Assist in preparing, reviewing, and assembling documentation for ASME Code repairs and alterations. This will include selecting welding procedures, verifying welder qualifications, preparing material requisitions, receiving materials and verifying material documentation, verifying fabrication criteria, performing dimension checks, witnessing testing, and verifying that the TOP is complete and accurate.</p> <p>Train new project members in site-specific SOPs</p> <p>Bring Your A-Game!</p> <p>Our ideal candidate should possess the following traits:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree in a technical field or completion of a Journeyman Program </li><li>Current Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Certificate </li><li>5 years of experience inspecting welds associated with ASME BPE, B31.1, B31.3, or other recognized piping codes </li><li>Experience in developing and maintaining weld tracking programs </li><li>Experience reading and interpreting ASME Section IX welding procedures </li><li>Experience with ASME Section VIII, Division 1 pressure vessels (preferred) </li><li>Working knowledge of NDT techniques </li><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office </li><li>Ability to travel to multiple job sites daily </li></ul> <p>What We Will Bring to the Table</p> <ul> <li>A collaborative, family-friendly work environment </li><li>Competitive pay and an excellent benefits package, including health and life insurance, a robust wellness program, 401(k), and profit sharing. </li><li>A personal time off plan that rivals our competitors </li></ul> <p>Pay Range: $75,000 - $85,000 per hour</p>
