<p>Academic Interventionist JobID: 1886</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Elementary School Teaching Grades 1-6/Curriculum Resource Teacher</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>12/8/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Hawthorne Elementary School</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>Open until filled</p> <p>&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Vacancy for the 2025-2026 School Year</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.</p> </li><li> <p>New Jersey Department of Education Permanent Teacher's Certificate.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred: Master of Education</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred: Teacher of Reading, Mathematics, or Teacher of Supplemental Reading and Math Certificate</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Possession of a driver's license, valid in New Jersey, only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working with high needs students with proven results</p> </li><li> <p>Two letters of recommendation, which should include one (1) from current principal or supervisor.</p> </li></ol> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Works directly with students to reach mastery with district-assigned resources and supports.</p> </li><li> <p>Works within district data cycles to maintain flexible grouping for Tier II students.</p> </li><li> <p>Supports academic conversations at I&RST meetings.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates/collaborates with parents and classroom teachers regarding accurate and current student-level data.</p> </li><li> <p>Supports students with academic challenges in a general education setting</p> </li><li> <p>Designs and implements academic interventions using research-based methodology in Reading and/or Math.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates high levels of professional conduct and exemplary teaching of individuals and small group instruction that result in high levels of student learning.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides data-driven instruction for Math/LAL for all K-8 students during the school day.
