This role plays a vital part in resident satisfaction, safety, and quality of life.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Plan, organize, and follow assigned cleaning schedules </li><li>Perform cleaning assignments in resident rooms and common areas </li><li>Ensure compliance with cleanliness, sanitation, and infection control standards </li><li>Prepare resident rooms for new move-ins following discharge </li><li>Report maintenance and repair needs to the supervisor </li><li>Monitor housekeeping inventory and communicate supply needs </li><li>Assist with plant and flower care as assigned </li><li>Safely handle cleaning chemicals and ensure proper labeling per OSHA standards </li><li>Maintain work carts and equipment in a clean and safe condition </li><li>Attend required in-service training and staff meetings </li><li>Collaborate with other departments to support smooth daily operations </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Stand, sit, walk, and change positions frequently </li><li>Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with tasks requiring pushing or pulling up to 100 lbs. </li><li>Crouch, kneel, balance, stoop, and bend as needed </li></ul> <p>Safety Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves and face protection </li><li>Use proper lifting techniques and lumbar support when needed </li><li>Wear non-slip, supportive footwear </li><li>Follow OSHA standards for hazardous chemicals and SDS guidelines </li><li>Report work-related injuries within 12 hours and complete required documentation </li><li>Participate in company drug testing procedures </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This position operates primarily indoors in an Assisted Living community with adequate lighting and ventilation.
