<p>Summary</p> <p>Inspects, repairs, maintains and services Flight School aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify and service aircraft systems and equipment, airframes and power plants in accordance with Specifications set forth by the manufacturer and the Service Manuals, Service Bulletins, FAA Regulations </li><li>Perform scheduled inspections including 100 hour and annual inspections (if authorized) </li><li>Perform maintenance and repair associated with inspections </li><li>Perform major and minor repairs and alterations as part of line maintenance, heavy maintenance and structural repair </li><li>Maintain and repair equipment used in the department </li><li>Perform other incidental duties as may be assigned </li></ul> <p>Knowledge / Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Verifiable, hands-on experience of the actual time spent in the repair, maintenance, overhaul or manufacture of aircraft required </li><li>Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days-off </li><li>Demonstrates good judgment and confidentiality </li><li>Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer service </li><li>Excellent time management, follow-through and organizational skills </li><li>Strong communication and ability to build relationships with all levels of management and pilots </li><li>Strategic and forward-thinker </li><li>Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy </li><li>Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Word, Excel and Outlook </li><li>Strong knowledge of flight software (Talon) </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education and Work Experience</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED required </li><li>Associate degree preferred </li><li>3 years of experience working with general aviation aircraft or similar (Cessna 152, Cessna 172, Cessna 208, Piper Seminole, and Piper Arrow) </li></ul> <p>Certificates, License, Registrations</p> <ul> <li>FAA Airframe and Powerplant License </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
