The Auditor is responsible for data quality reviews on provider records to validate the Evaluation and Management (E/M) coding and surgical documentation for professional services. Audits provider records for accuracy of principal and secondary diagnosis and/or procedures and ensures compliance with all reporting requirements. The Auditor identifies documentation trends and provides feedback and education to providers on coding guidelines and requirements.</p> <p>PB Coding Auditor Position Requirements</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent is required </li><li>Bachelor's Degree with a focus in Health Information Management is preferred </li></ul> <p>Required License and/or Certification</p> <ul> <li>Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification is required. </li><li>Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) or Equivalent AHIMA certification (CCS, CCS-P) is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>At least five (5) years inpatient/outpatient coding experience serving in a data management, coding management, or coding auditing position </li><li>Experience auditing E/M services, including inpatient, outpatient and office based encounters is preferred. </li><li>Experience in developing and delivering audit findings, and performing provider education is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Coding Auditor Work Schedule</p> <ul> <li>Day Shift, Monday through Friday. </li><li>Evening and weekend work as needed. </li><li>Expected to be available in emergency situations. </li></ul> <p>Coding Auditor Benefits</p> <ul> <li>At TidalHealth, team members working at least 36 hours per pay period based on 12-hour shift schedules or at least 37.5 hours for non 12-hour shift schedules and part-time team members working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits. </li><li>Benefits include medical, prescription, vision, dental, flexible spending accounts, disability insurance plans, life insurance, paid time off plans, retirement plans, tuition assistance, employee assistance, and access to on-site childcare and a credit union. </li></ul> <p>Salary range: $28.26 - $43.81 Commensurate with experience</p>
