As a Flex Technician, you'll support multiple departments and play a critical role in ensuring smooth operations across the facility.</p> <p>Work Schedule - 3-Day weekend every week!</p> <p>Monday - Thursday</p> <p>2pm - 12:30am</p> <p>2nd shift off on Fridays</p> <p>Job Summary/Overview</p> <p>The Flex Technician is a versatile, cross-trained team member who supports multiple operational areas within the manufacturing facility. This role "flexes" between Assembly, Shipping & Receiving, and Fabrication based on daily production needs. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable learning new processes to ensure smooth workflow across departments.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Flex between departments based on staffing needs, production schedules, or priority changes. </li><li>Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements 5S, and company policies as required. </li><li>Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth handoffs between departments. </li><li>Participate in cross-training and continuous improvement initiatives. </li><li>Perform mechanical and/or electrical assembly of components and finished products according to work instructions and quality standards. </li><li>Use hand tools, power tools, and measurement devices safely and accurately. </li><li>Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment (training provided if needed). </li><li>Assist with basic fabrication tasks such as cutting, drilling, grinding, or machine operation. </li><li>Use of proper processes, procedures and OMS instructions, cycle counting procedures. </li><li>Perform preventative maintenance duties on machines & equipment as required. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>A team player with excellent communication skills. </li><li>Mechanical aptitude and solid blueprint reading skills. </li><li>Ability to deal with ambiguous/undefined problems. </li><li>Ability to be flexible and adjust priories to reflect changing needs or job demands. </li><li>Attention to detail. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Highschool diploma or equivalent. </li><li>2 + years of experience in a Manufacturing Environment is preferred. </li><li>Certification for sit-down forklift, and use of overhead crane or the willingness to obtain via training. </li><li>Valid drivers license preferred. </li></ul> <p>Compensation</p> <p>$20+ per hour based on experience</p> <p>Additional $2/hour shift premium for 2nd shift</p> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>4 day work week for 2nd shift </li><li>Climate controlled facility </li><li>Free coffee daily </li><li>11 paid holidays </li><li>Vacation and paid sick time </li><li>Medical, Dental, Vision insurance, effective day 1 </li><li>401(k) with company match </li><li>Paid parental leave </li><li>Tuition assistance </li><li>Disability insurance </li><li>Dress for your day </li></ul> <p>About Columbus McKinnon:</p> <p>Columbus McKinnon is a leading worldwide designer, manufacturer and marketer of intelligent motion solutions that move the world forward and improve lives by efficiently and ergonomically moving, lifting, positioning and securing materials.
