In this high-impact role, you'll guide a team of contracting professionals, partner with senior executives, and influence strategic initiatives across the organization.What You'll DoLead drafting, negotiation, and finalization of complex vendor contracts while managing risk and maximizing enterprise value.Serve as the escalation point for contract issues, advising senior leaders on legal, commercial, and compliance risks.Partner across Legal, Sourcing, Security, Privacy, Tax, Finance, and other SMEs to ensure alignment with policies and regulations.Support enterprise initiatives including supplier integration, M&A activities, and enterprise-wide cost-saving projects.Manage and mentor a high-performing team across multiple locations.Maintain and enhance contract templates, processes, and purchasing policies.Provide guidance on contractual rights/obligations and support supplier performance, compliance, and improvement efforts.Represent Procurement in business reviews, stakeholder meetings, and educational sessions to reinforce contracting best practices.Required Qualifications7+ years professional experience5+ years contracts experience, including drafting and negotiating complex agreements3+ years advising senior leaders on contract risks and strategyProven ability to manage high-volume, high-complexity negotiationsAbility to work a hybrid schedule at a CVS HUB: Tuesday, Wednesday and two Thursdays a month.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Ariba (or similar contract management systems)Experience in healthcare or retail procurementJD, MBA, or relevant advanced degreeProfessional certifications (C.P.M., C.P.P.O., C.F.C.M., C.P.C.M.)Experience leading and developing teamsWork ModelHybrid schedule: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and two Thursdays per month onsite at a CVS hub location.EducationBachelor's degree required or similar expereince required.This role does not support sponsorship at this timePay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$75,400.00 - $182,549.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
