<p>Overview Herzog Contracting Corp. is currently seeking a Cost Engineer in Springfield, VA to join our team. Duties and Responsibilities: *This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position. Monitor, track, and control project costs and forecast final financial outcomes through cost analysis and spend tracking. Monitor the job cost report against key performance indicators (KPIs). Assist development of monthly billing submittals to ensure complete, accurate information and expedite project payments. Assist project close out procedures by validating final revenue prior to final bill submission. Perform audits between company and owner systems to confirm accuracy. Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog's Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position. Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Four-Year degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting or equivalent experience preferred. 3-5 years in the construction industry, accounting, project controls, or related work experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Experience with Bluebeam is a plus. Communicate professionally to all parties both orally and in writing. Detail orientated and strong organizational skills. Must work well in a team environment. Pre-Employment Requirements: Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review. Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen. Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
