With strong analytical and problem-solving skills, they address unique challenges in elementary education. The principal fosters positive connections, building trust among students, staff, and the community through effective communication. Committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, they actively contribute to creating a nurturing environment.</p> <p>The role involves promoting educational and social-emotional development, providing leadership and supervision, and partnering with parents and the community in the learning process. The principal is accountable for instructional leadership, staff supervision and evaluation, student services compliance, and operational management of the school. <li>Educational Leadership: </li></ol> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain a school-wide vision and culture of success for all students, including high standards for academic and social-emotional goals aligned to district priorities. </li><li>Act as a catalyst for innovative thinking and action, encouraging staff to suggest new ideas and try new techniques within the classroom. </li></ul> <ol start="2"> <li>Student-Centered Focus: </li></ol> <ul> <li>Create and maintain a positive, collaborative school culture and climate where students and staff can learn and grow. </li><li>Ensure the overall effectiveness of curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular programs. </li></ul> <ol start="3"> <li>Instructional Leadership: </li></ol> <ul> <li>Facilitate high-quality instruction and ongoing enhancement and improvement of instruction through the supervision and evaluation of teachers in accordance with Illinois PERA, district timelines, evaluation handbooks, and collective bargaining agreements. </li><li>Coordinate high-quality screening and hiring procedures aligned with District hiring procedures and guidelines in collaboration with Human Resources. </li><li>Support specialized instructional programs, including but not limited to gifted/extended, special education, and multi-lingual programming. </li><li>Ensure fidelity of implementation of IEPs, Section 504 plans, and MTSS processes in collaboration with Student Services staff and the AP/TOSA. </li></ul> <ol start="4"> <li>Administrative Excellence: </li></ol> <ul> <li>Direct, guide, and coordinate the total educational program in cooperation with school staff and District administration. </li><li>Provide effective and ongoing leadership to maintain a talented, effective, professional staff who value working collaboratively and professionally. </li><li>Address employee performance concerns, support professional growth, and collaborate with Human Resources on employee relations matters, research in the field of early childhood and elementary teaching, learning, and social-emotional development. </li><li>Facilitate scheduling, placement, and assignment of teachers, support staff, and academic and behavioral data, using data to develop, refine, and enhance instruction, intervention, and enrichment that meets individual student needs. </li><li>Supervise, evaluate, and provide
