Check out the Pregis Purpose to learn how sustainability and social responsibility is at the very core of our company DNA.</p> <p>MAINTANENCE DEPARTMENT CREW LEAD</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Train and coach team to assist with developing a cross functional team between Converting and BFO. </li><li>Assist in planning and ensuring work orders are being completed and closed out correctly in a timely manner throughout the team reporting to this role. </li><li>Provide guidance and support for day and night shift that is reporting to this role. </li><li>Perform the proper function of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements (both planned and unplanned) on production, packaging and processing equipment, and utility systems. </li><li>Successfully perform troubleshooting on Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems. </li><li>On call for emergency repairs in breakdown situations. </li><li>Accurately read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. </li><li>Perform preventative maintenance (i.e. conducting computerized preventative maintenance check-ups or reading SPC charts and data) as needed. </li><li>Ensure proper function of the line manufacturing support systems (line/lube delivery, chemical delivery, ingredient delivery, process systems, CIP systems, operational support.) </li><li>Accurately complete work orders promptly to maintain high-quality standards. </li><li>Maintain communication with other departments, management, and employees; notifying them of problems and/or concerns that may restrict production efficiency. </li><li>Complete all paperwork in a clear, legible, and accurate format, including all required information and documenting following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's). </li><li>Assist in maintaining parts and supplies inventory by checking parts out of inventory and assigning them to the proper work order; report low supply levels to Supervisor. </li><li>Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area, including maintenance shop. </li><li>Adhere to Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) </li><li>Identify Critical Control Points (CCP). </li></ul> <p>Quality:</p> <ul> <li>Adhere to and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures as outlined at Pregis Films. </li><li>Perform all aspects of the position to the highest quality. </li></ul> <p>Safety:</p> <ul> <li>Know all safety requirements of the position before starting any job. </li><li>Follow all safety rules and procedures established by the company. </li><li>Take personal responsibility for own safety and fellow employees, correcting and/or assisting in the correction of any safety hazard identified. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires regular standing and sitting for extended periods. Regular typing/keyboarding, writing, and filing. The position must be able to communicate with all levels of employees, vendors, customers, and visitors.
