<p>Position: Registered Nurse MNA</p> <p>Department: Critical Care Unit</p> <p>Schedule: 24 Hours, 7a-7p, Rotating Weekends</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Critical Care RN assumes full responsibility for the quality of nursing care she/he provides to patients and their family members. Included in such responsibility is: the health maintenance; teaching; counseling; collaborative planning; comfort and restoration of optimal functioning. Responsibility often may additionally include the dignified death of our patients. Also, within the parameters of her/his previous and continuing education experiences and the Nurse Practice Act, may delegate nursing activities to other RNs and/or health care personnel. The Critical Care RN provides care that addresses the specific needs of all age groups from adolescent to elderly, and is also individualized to a variety of needs specific to impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, non-English speaking, and potential victims of abuse. The Critical Care RN incorporates knowledge and understanding of our commitment to patient rights, our mission, vision, and values into nursing practice.</p> <p>Required Knowledge & Skills:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Education: Nursing Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred); Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years required.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience: 3 years critical care experience or completion of GSMC transition to Critical Care course. Must maintain required competencies to perform in a CCU setting.</p> </li><li> <p>Certification/Licensure: MA RN license, BLS, ACLS, TCAR or TNCC</p> </li></ul> <p>Compensation Range:</p> <p>$38.10- $77.63</p> <p>This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications.
