<p>SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Sr. Purchasing Specialist will purchase all packaging components and labels for manufacturing as required in accordance with the Company's standard operating procedures.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure parts, deliveries, and supplies are coordinated and arrive on time. </li><li>Negotiate with raw material suppliers to obtain the best pricing and terms of raw materials purchases for both production facilities, along with the purchasing of packing materials. </li><li>Continuously monitor market conditions for potential cost savings, better term rates or ways to minimize cost increases and advise supervisor of such changes. </li><li>Ensure the flow of raw materials and packaging components to production facilities is such that production schedules can be maintained. </li><li>Coordinate the acquisition of materials and packaging components for private label customers. Enter daily activity into private label customers SAP system. Prepare monthly production reconciliation for same. </li><li>Provide operational guidance to Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Regulatory as new products and/or packaging are being introduced. </li><li>Clarify discrepancies with accounting regarding pricing and receipts. </li><li>Conduct annual inventory audit reconciliation for production facilities, warehouse, and all outside suppliers. </li><li>Establish and maintain material specification data on all materials and services purchased within MRP software. </li><li>Establish and maintain MRP product structure files on all new products. </li><li>Navigate and become expert in propriety ERP system and update information and pricing as needed. </li><li>Maintain and extract data from ERP system to ensure system integrity and provide key reports using advanced spreadsheet formulas and practices </li><li>Prepare Annual EPA Pesticide Production Report and Annual ACRC Report </li><li>Work with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Regulatory groups as new products and/or packaging are being introduced. </li><li>Continuously research and monitor market conditions for potential cost savings or to resist/minimize cost increases. </li><li>Advise superiors of changes in market conditions that may/will affect cost. </li><li>Participate in weekly production meetings. </li><li>Coordinate with production schedules, product revisions and inventory with contract manufacturers. </li><li>Update specifications and bills of material for finished goods. </li><li>Conduct annual inventory audit reconciliation for both production facilities, warehouse, and all outside suppliers. </li><li>Maintain an ethical and fair approach to our vendors, suppliers, and internal customers. </li><li>Other duties may be assigned </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline preferred. </li><li>Experience: 4+ years of prior purchasing experience. </li><li>Skills must include Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is required, contract negotiations </li><li>Team player and ability to multitask. </li><li>Specialized knowledge or training: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. </li><li>Travel required in this position: None </li></ul> <p>The pay range for this role considers a wide range of factors including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, geographical location, and other organizational needs.</p> <p>The estimated pay range for this role is $58,419 Min to $87,629 Max per year.</p> <p>Additionally, you will be eligible to participate in a bonus incentive program associated with this specific role.</p>
