<p>Geotechnical Engineer</p> <p>Location: Oxford, MS</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Our client is seeking a project engineer for their geotechnical engineering department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in Geotechnical Investigations and Phase I Environmental Assessments involving residential and commercial sites, institutional and education sites, roadways and bridges, and higher learning projects.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct due diligence research for upcoming projects. </li><li>Prepare engineering reports for geotechnical and environmental studies. </li><li>Generate location plans, undercut plans, and segmental retaining wall plans. </li><li>Perform engineering calculations for bearing capacity, slope stability, pile capacity, and retaining wall designs. </li><li>Review submittals for active construction projects. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Geotechnical analysis </li><li>Geological Engineering </li><li>2+ years of site design consulting experience </li><li>Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate </li><li>Valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history </li></ul> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
