The ideal candidate will be committed to promoting the health and well-being of students, ensuring they are ready to learn and succeed in a safe and supportive environment.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid, medication administration, and management of chronic health conditions. </li><li>Develop and implement individualized health care plans for students with specific health needs. </li><li>Conduct health screenings and assessments to identify and address health issues that may impact learning. </li><li>Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to support students' health and educational needs. </li><li>Maintain accurate health records and documentation in accordance with state and district policies. </li><li>Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community. </li><li>Respond to health emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed. </li><li>Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations and guidelines. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or an Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) with relevant experience. </li><li>Valid Connecticut nursing license. </li><li>Certification in School Nursing preferred. </li><li>Experience working with children and adolescents in a healthcare or educational setting. </li><li>Strong knowledge of pediatric health, public health, and school health practices. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse school community. </li></ul>
