<p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Senior Analyst, Laboratory Systems Informatics provides support for the Meditech EHR platforms, along with related systems, and Abbott Glucometers as the front-line support for LifePoint hospitals.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.</p> <p>Support and administer interfaces with the lab system and at times consult in lab-related non-Meditech systems.</p> <p>Assist all Meditech facilities with the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and related laboratory applications including, but not limited to, pathology, blood bank, and point of care testing.</p> <p>Develop implementation project plan for new installations and supplement conversion go-live activities either on-site or remotely.</p> <p>Work collaboratively with vendors, Hospital Support Center (HSC) Quality, Operations, HITS teams, and hospital teams in determining and implementing solutions which support quality and regulatory initiatives, workflow challenges, and user experience.</p> <p>Assist in system architectural development (i.e. building tests, panels/profiles).</p> <p>Work with Lifepoint clinical operations to develop standard reporting needs and deploy these reports to all the required facilities.</p> <p>Review, coordinate, and assist in the development of new enhancement testing and implementation project plan for new installations.</p> <p>Monitor new system setup and training to ensure following Company operational guidelines.</p> <p>Regular and reliable attendance.</p> <p>Perform other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Position primarily serves internal co-workers.</p> <p>Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.</p> <p>Exhibit a basic understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.</p> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.</p> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None</p> <p>Education: Minimal certification (NAACLS approved) or associate's degree in a medical laboratory sciences; MT or MLT certification eligibility required; bachelor's degree preferred.</p> <p>Experience: Minimum 3 years' technical support experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.</p> <p>Certifications: N/A</p> <p>Licenses: N/A</p> <p>Skills and Abilities:</p> <p>Business Mathematical Skills -- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.</p> <p>Moderate Computer Skills -- Frequent use of electronic mail, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain and incorporate simple functions into documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations to support business objectives.</p> <p>Moderate Communication -- Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills.
