We have a direct presence in 21 countries, with manufacturing facilities in the US, Germany and China, and international sales and technical offices around the world.</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY</p> <p>Responsible for building out with support from Management a robust training program for the Sachet Line and Film Department.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assists the Production Manager and Operations Manager in identifying Company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and execute operator and assistant-level supervisor training programs with the goal of maintaining an autonomous team</p> </li><li> <p>Includes but is not limited to creating and maintaining operator/supervisor skills matrix, SOPs and troubleshooting guides, operator competency test(s), trainer and trainee evaluations</p> </li><li> <p>Provides timely feedback and coaching to trainees and trainers</p> </li><li> <p>Leads Operations failure investigations related to training and development; Identifies and executes CAPAs from investigations</p> </li><li> <p>Serves as vacation relief coverage for assistant team leads as needed for the Sachet Line.</p> </li><li> <p>Identifies continuous improvement opportunities within and outside of training programs. Develops actions to address and execute.</p> </li><li> <p>Flexes time between all shifts to address training needs and opportunities as required</p> </li><li> <p>Assists the Operations Manager, Production Manager and ATL's in coordinating and administering training programs for all levels of employees and contractors including but not limited to new employee orientation training, annual required training, new and revised SOP's, work instructions, WAP's, job specific training, job aids (ERP and non-ERP) and training to meet state and federal requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists the team in employee training/retraining relating to NCR's and documents retraining.</p> </li><li> <p>Helps to maintain a library of effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.</p> </li><li> <p>Schedules and books training sessions for training programs ensuring proper facility size, location and set up.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates with employees and their respective supervisors on a timely basis to ensure attendance.</p> </li><li> <p>Works effectively as a team member with other members of the organization.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains and uses the training software to assure that all employees' training requirements are current.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains a tracking system to be used for all required and optional training performed at the company including but not limited to training performed by the training manager, all supervisors, all managers for all levels of employees and contractors.</p> </li><li> <p>Sets up and monitors testing for all employee's for all departments</p> </li><li> <p>Tests trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures that training records for each employee are maintained.</p> </li><li> <p>Works effectively with training manager to help ensure long term customer needs are met.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists team in customer, third party and internal audits as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates on committees in a positive and results driven manner when requested.</p> </li><li> <p>Completes additional tasks and projects as requested by management.</p> </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education, Training:</p> <ul> <li>Required education: High School Graduate or GED </li><li>Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Proven ability to lead by example and foster mentoring relationships. </li><li>Great verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentation skills. </li><li>Good organizer, meticulous, and good public speaker. </li><li>At ease moderating large groups. </li><li>Must be flexible and responsive to change. </li><li>Ability to run and troubleshoot Immunotec and/or Film equipment. </li><li>Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team. </li><li>Comfortable communicating with all levels of management and employees. </li><li>Strong planning and organizational skills </li><li>Ability to perform duties with minimal direction. </li><li>General knowledge of the food manufacturing process is helpful. </li><li>Ability to work with all levels of employees in a productive manner. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Must be able to complete forms and write in a legible manner. </li><li>Ability to work in a team environment and to follow protocol faithfully. </li><li>Ability to contribute to Glanbia's goals and objectives. </li><li>Must be computer literate with strong data entry and typing skills in MS Office suite. </li><li>Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently. </li><li>Must be highly organized and have good attention to detail. </li></ul> <p>TYPICAL PHYSICAL ACTIVITY</p> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Regularly required to stand, reach, bend and walk about the building including climbing up and down a full flight of stairs. </li><li>May be required to carry, lift, pull, push, or otherwise move audio visual equipment from one location to the next while setting up the training facility. </li><li>Regularly works at a computer typing and entering data. </li><li>Continuous mental and visual attention required throughout the day. </li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. </li><li>Fine manual motor dexterity required to complete forms and other paperwork. </li><li>Standing for long periods of time may be required while providing training. </li></ul> <p>Typical Environmental Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Works in an office environment and in a manufacturing area with air borne particles and moderate noise. </li></ul> <p>TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Minimal overnight travel (up to 5%) by land and/or air. </li></ul> <p>At Glanbia, we celebrate diversity, because we know that our individual strengths make us stronger together.
