You will work with project managers, design staff including electrical engineers, cost estimators, designers, drafters, and other engineering disciplines to provide quality work on schedule and within budget. We partner across the globe to create the best project outcomes by maximizing the design, digital technology, and support capabilities of our Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teammates. You will engage with these teams to deliver solutions to our clients.</p> <p>This role offers career growth opportunities for managing electrical specific task/projects as well as participating in projects utilizing various delivery methods to create world class designs meeting our clients' needs. Let's see the big impacts we can make, together.</p> <p>We'll Expect You To:</p> <ul> <li>Design electrical systems for water and wastewater conveyance and treatment facilities </li><li>Preparing contract documents for plans, specifications, and cost estimates for projects </li><li>Electrical systems include low- and medium-voltage power distribution, lighting, emergency power systems, UPS, and batteries. </li><li>Apply knowledge of commonly used electrical engineering and design concepts, principles, best practices, codes, and guidelines related to electrical engineering industry </li><li>Engage several different assignments simultaneously. </li><li>Develop basis of design report, One-Line Diagrams, Motor Control Diagrams, Panel Schedules, Conduit Routing, Load Calculations, and Voltage Drop Calculations as well coordinate with the Electric Utility Company for new services as needed. </li><li>Utilize lighting software to perform calculations and provide photometrics. </li><li>Perform power system studies for electrical systems including load flow, short circuit, coordination, and arc flash and competent in equipment sizing, grounding, and relay coordination. </li><li>Engage in quality control and quality assurance of electrical engineering plans, specifications, and estimates in the water market </li><li>Perform field visits and conduct site investigations for public and private clients. </li><li>Provide services during construction including submittal reviews, response to Contractor's request for information, review and approval of change orders, and preparation of record drawings. </li><li>Collaborate with multi-discipline teams across multiple office locations. </li><li>Mentor junior staff </li><li>Ability to work and thrive in a team environment. </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills </li><li>Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision. </li><li>All other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>We value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery. We empower employees with our hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations enabling them to deliver their best work.</p> <p>Here's what you'll need</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering </li><li>Registered California Professional Electrical Engineer (PE) with ability to reciprocate as needed </li><li>Minimum of 8 years of experience related to water industry in electrical engineering role </li><li>Working knowledge of Word and Excel </li><li>Working knowledge of of AGi32 or Visual Lighting Software </li><li>Working knowledge of SKM or ETAP </li><li>Experience working with Permitting review agencies </li><li>Strong time management skills </li><li>Strong understanding of NEC and NFPA 820 </li><li>Familiarity with IEEE color book series </li><li>Strong analytical, conceptual, problem solving and organizational skills </li><li>Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management </li><li>Ability to work and thrive in a team environment </li><li>Ability to self-motivate and work independently with minimal supervision </li></ul> <p>Ideally, you'll also have:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Electrical Engineering </li><li>Experience in designing and delivering municipal water and wastewater treatment projects via different delivery methods (design-bid-build, design-build, or other alternatives) </li><li>Knowledge of Bluebeam Revu </li><li>Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Microstation </li><li>Knowledge of Revit MEP </li><li>Knowledge of Title 24 compliance for electrical distribution and lighting </li><li>Field investigative and startup experience </li></ul> <p>Posted Salary Range: Minimum</p> <p>115,400.00</p> <p>Posted Salary Range: Upper</p> <p>180,250.00</p> <p>Jacobs' health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
