<p>Cognizant is seeking an IBM i (AS400) Infrastructure Specialist to support the IBM i infrastructure for RxClaims. This position will perform level 1 monitoring of all IBM i environments. The team is responsible for 24x7x365 monitoring of all IBM i LPARS, along with processing all backups. This role will also involve monitoring the IBM i RxClaim health, Sterling Integrator file delivery, Robot batch jobs on IBM i, Tidal jobs and all IBM i servers and storage.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>The monitor position has 24/7/365 coverage for the following applications: All IBM i LPARS, Robot scheduler and console, Tidal scheduler, and Sterling Integrator.</p> </li><li> <p>The monitor team answers messages where the correct response can be determined, and triages errors to the correct team, depending on the contents or 'location' of the message.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for processes, training, continuous improvement, system automation.</p> </li><li> <p>System health monitoring of: Claim adjudication jobs, ASP alerts, CPU alerts, Claims queue monitoring, Storage monitoring, Connect Direct subsystem.</p> </li><li> <p>Contact different teams if requested by on-call</p> </li><li> <p>For application upgrade events, place job queues on HOLD for MOD and Patch instances</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for performing and monitoring all backups on the IBM i Platform.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>2+ years of IBM i (AS400) monitoring experience</p> </li><li> <p>Experience performing backups</p> </li><li> <p>Experience using ticketing tools such as ServiceNow</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication and personal interaction skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work in a flexible shift environment (24 x 7)</p> </li></ul> <p>This is a remote opportunity within the US. Candidate must be currently living in the US and must have valid work authorization. We are unable to offer any visa sponsorship.</p> <p>The salary range for this role will be between $64,000 and $74,000 depending on skills and experience of the candidate.
