<p>Savannah Technical College is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Maintenance Technician.</p> <p>The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing skilled and semi-skilled work related to the maintenance and repair of the College's facilities and grounds. This is a full-time, benefitted, non-exempt position. The role requires travel between the Savannah, Crossroads (Pooler), and Effingham campuses as business needs dictate.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>A high school diploma or equivalent <em>and</em> One (1) year of experience in a skilled trade or building maintenance.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Three (3) or more years of experience in a skilled trade or building maintenance </li><li>HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical competencies, licenses and the like </li><li>Experience working for a state agency </li><li>Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans </li><li>Ability to use a computer and knowledge of basic computer program functions </li><li>Valid driver's license </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <p>Ability to life/move objects weighing 15lbs or more; ability to use a range of hand and power tools; ability to work in various environmental conditions; ability to climb ladders; ability to work independently. This position is a field position and will require constant movement and repetitive motions.</p> <p>Salary/Benefits:</p> <p>Salary is commensurate with education and work experience.
