<p>Director Veterans Health Program</p> <p>Valley Health Partners, Allentown, PA</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Director Veterans Health Program is responsible for operational management and new business development for Valley Health Partners' Veteran Health Program in alignment with organizational transformation initiatives and growth in new service areas. Reporting to the VP of Population Health, this position focuses on designing, implementing, and operationalizing Veterans health programs to improve access, equity, and outcomes for Veteran communities served by VHP. The Director maintains client and community partner relationships and ensures a high level of service is provided under existing contracts and programmatic initiatives. The role plans, monitors, and manages business operations, revenue capture, data analysis, budget development, and resource use including onboarding, role competencies, and performance expectations of the Veterans Health Program team. The Director ensures integration with VHP clinical care and operations to carry out Valley Health Partner's core mission, vision, and values and is a connector to state and federal Veterans Health policies and support network resources.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Experience Required:</p> <ul> <li>Three years of experience with veteran initiatives in healthcare. </li><li>Three years of military experience. </li><li>One year of supervisory experience </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Communications, Business, Marketing, or related field required </li><li>Master's Degree preferred </li></ul> <p>Skills Needed:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to develop and maintain relationships as well as to communicate effectively in various forums. </li><li>Works collaboratively in a team environment. </li><li>Requires excellent organizational and critical thinking skills. </li><li>Familiarity with Windows, Excel, and Access. </li><li>Advanced understanding of veteran insurance/benefit programs. </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for setting the Veteran Health Program's overall strategy and vision within the health center, including strategic growth and partnerships in new service areas. </li><li>Responsible for driving results through a high performing team and through serving leadership concepts, supporting professional development, and adherence to performance management responsibilities. </li><li>Works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes that align with the program's strategic goals. </li><li>Displays exceptional strategic thinking skills to develop and implement health center-wide strategies. </li><li>Stays informed of national and state policies and networks and maintains understanding of the complexities of the veteran population. Applies expertise to solve problems, develop strategies, and make informed decisions to improve the health and well-being of the clients served. </li><li>Develops, maintains, and monitors program performance metrics. </li><li>Directs and manages contracted services to meet client, community, and organization needs. </li><li>Maintains compliance with regulatory agencies through the development and implementation of policies, processes, and procedures. </li><li>Develops annual labor, operational, and capital budgets and ensures department meets revenue, volume, and dashboard targets. </li><li>Establishes performance benchmarks and conducts regular program evaluations to ensure measurable outcomes and accountability. </li><li>In collaboration with clinical operations, oversees billable behavioral health initiatives to ensure financial sustainability, compliance with payer requirements, and integration of mental health services into the veteran care continuum. </li><li>Monitors trends and opportunities in services and tracks client volume. </li><li>Works closely with managers and staff in lateral services lines to plan and provide coordinated services/programs and builds bridge programs to enhance the effectiveness of the veteran's health program. </li><li>Establishes relationships with community partners for joint programming and learning opportunities. </li><li>Routinely participates in community events and outreach activities to strengthen relationships, promote veteran health initiatives, and enhance program visibility as part of Valley Health Partners. </li><li>Serves as a spokesperson for the Veteran Health Program, representing the program in community events, forums, media, and/or conferences. </li><li>Organizes and conducts educational programs and seminars related to veteran's health. </li><li>Develops and maintains business, community, philanthropic, and physician partnerships and relations. </li><li>Advocates for veteran health needs in VHP service areas, ensuring the program remains aligned with evolving policies and funding opportunities. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul>
