<p>TACT (Teaching the Autism Community Trades) is seeking a dynamic and dedicated professional to lead our admissions and transitions process. This is an exciting opportunity to join a mission-driven organization that empowers students through hands-on training, life skills development, and meaningful career preparation.</p> <p>The primary focus of the Special Education Transitions and Admissions Director is to help TACT clients transition successfully to TACT programming in an efficient manner following current federal, state and local standards and policies and procedures of TACT.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement individualized transition and admission plans for students, considering their strengths, needs, interests, and post-school goals and in accordance with established policies and procedures, including funding options available. </li><li>Collect, assemble, evaluate and organize all admissions processes and keep a detailed record of communication with families, clients, partners, etc in accordance with established policies and procedures. </li><li>Maintain all waitlists for services and continue to communicate with clients and families on the waitlist. </li><li>Participate in inter-agency meetings to ensure coordinated services for clients </li><li>Conduct person-centered transition and admissions assessments and functional vocational evaluations to understand students' needs and interests and align them with TACT offerings. </li><li>Establish and maintain relationships with community resources, including schools, agencies, resource groups and partner organizations to support student transition and admissions. </li><li>Provide tours of the TACT facility to all interested parties including potential clients, families, partner organizations, and guests. </li><li>Assist with implementation of marketing plans including but not limited to special events, community outreach and TACT programming </li><li>Coordinate and supervise work-based learning experiences, including job coaching and transportation. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Education: Master's degree in a related field (e.g., special education, social work, psychology) or equivalent combination of education and experience.</p> <p>Experience: Experience in case management, counseling, or related fields.</p> <p>Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.</p> <p>Knowledge: Familiarity with local community resources and services, career development theories, and relevant software.</p> <p>Licensure/Certification: May require specific licenses or certifications depending on the state and position.</p> <p>Compensation:</p> <p>$75,000 to $85,000</p>
