<p>TITLE: Plant Manager</p> <p>POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Exempt</p> <p>DEPARTMENT: Operations</p> <p>POSITION REPORT TO: VP Operations</p> <p>SUMMARY: Oversee, control and direct the operations of a food production facility. Manage the organization's manpower, technology, equipment and raw materials to produce a quality profitable and marketable product.</p> <p>Responsible for managing plan operations to meet the production schedule with quality products in an efficient and safe manner.</p> <p>Education and /or Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Business Administration, Manufacturing Operations, or Engineering </li><li>6 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent experience </li><li>Prior food production facility maintenance experience preferred. </li><li>Demonstrated staff leadership, strong team building, decision-making and people management skills. </li></ul> <p>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Manage production to ensure that products meet customer service and quality requirements. </li><li>Direct initiatives to achieve cost reduction, manufacturing efficiencies and product quality improvements for all operations. </li><li>Maintain a maintenance program to minimize downtime. </li><li>Ensure workplace safety and comply with legal and governmental requirements such as OSHA etc. </li><li>Comply with corporate and company guidelines in Accounting, Human resources, Purchasing etc. </li><li>Leads the overall manufacturing process from raw material receipt through the fabrication and packaging process. </li><li>Responsible for employee development, performance management and staffing with a focus on management by objectives (i.e.: KPI's, Plant Objectives, etc.) </li><li>Support quality standards, inventory accuracy and production planning schedules with a focus on reduction/avoidance of failure costs. </li><li>Manage the daily operations of the Plant with a focus on employees, safety and productivity. </li><li>Commit to plant safety procedures. </li><li>Physical Demands: Must be capable of lifting to 25 lbs. Perform repetitive hand/ arm motions. </li></ul>
