Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.</p> <p>HDR is seeking a Tennessee Communications Manager to join our Tennessee Transportation Business Group to lead Strategic Communications activities and Communications staff in our business group in Tennessee. The ideal candidate will work well in a team environment, enjoy tackling new challenges, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and have a passion to support the transportation planning, environmental, and engineering professions. They will be comfortable working collaboratively and independently.</p> <p>As a State Transportation Communications Manager, we'll count on you to:</p> <ul> <li>Support Business Group leadership in delivery of projects and developing clients in Tennessee with specific focus in Nashville, Tennessee </li><li>Lead the development and implementation of project communication and engagement strategy and plans </li><li>Define messaging strategy?for communication pieces, including talking points, media releases, social media, project materials, and video scripts </li><li>Manage?formal and informal public meetings, hearings, open houses, workshops, advisory committees, or other stakeholder meetings </li><li>Oversee?meeting?logistics?and vendor management </li><li>Direct?task workback schedules and meeting plans </li><li>Oversee?the production and distribution of outreach materials such as newsletters, websites, handouts, presentations, advertisements, door hangers, press releases, and mailings </li><li>Collaborate with specialists in social media, web, graphics, and video to produce outreach?tools and materials </li><li>Collaborate with multimodal teams of planners, engineers, technical specialists, and communications specialists - at times under compressed timelines. </li><li>Direct?the identification of stakeholders and manage the development of distribution lists </li><li>Direct the development?and?maintenance of?project-specific comment management databases and?responses to comment protocols </li><li>Oversee documentation of?outreach activities,?including activity tracking and reporting </li><li>Coordination with the HDR regional communications teams. </li><li>Support area operations management to drive growth of market sectors in the Tennessee area with specific focus in Nashville, Tennessee. </li><li>Promote and conduct branding of HDR to the industry and client community and serves as the face of HDR to executive management, board members and project management staff of clients. </li><li>Be involved in marketing planning, proposals, and interviews, as directed </li><li>Serve as a project manager for key projects, or contribute in a support role as directed. </li><li>Develop project budgets, monitor and direct tasks, provide quality control reviews, and oversight as needed. </li><li>Work with Business/Accounting Manager, Project Controller and management as needed for reviews, goals, project accounting, etc. </li><li>Participate in ensuring adherence to Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures on assigned projects and deliverables. </li><li>Successful Project Delivery. </li><li>Manage and support assigned staff. </li><li>Work with HDR counterparts to develop strategies for: key hires, project pursuits, team growth, area growth and profitability, employee engagement and satisfaction. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in a relevant field </li><li>Work from HDR office(s) in Nashville, Tennessee </li><li>Experience with clients in Nashville, including TDOT, NDOT, and WeGo, and others </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>A minimum of 7 years relevant industry experience, including management experience </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Self-motivated and ability to work independent with multiple teams as well as team oriented </li><li>Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills </li><li>Great interpersonal and communication skills - positive outlook and attitude </li><li>High aptitude for managing and solving tactical issues </li><li>An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must </li><li>Comfortable and competent while working with senior leaders and managing cross-functional efforts </li><li>Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment </li><li>Committed to quality, continuous improvement, and HDR values </li><li>Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite </li></ul> <p>What We Believe</p> <p>HDR is our company.
