Participation in the program will offer students a multitude of experiences including networking with state employees, resume building and soft skills workshops, agency head panels, and much more.</p> <p>About the Indiana Commission for Higher Education (CHE):</p> <p>The Indiana Commission for Higher Education collaborates with multiple partners to facilitate Indiana's goal to provide quality college degrees and credentials for residents. Our multifaceted approach includes college readiness, college enrollment and completion, college value, state financial aid, data collection, and other initiatives. Learn even more about us at www.in.gov/che.</p> <p>Hourly Rate:</p> <p>The hourly wage for this position traditionally starts at $16.24/hour for current undergraduate students and $17.24/hour for those that hold a bachelor's degree at the time of starting the internship.</p> <p>Role Overview:</p> <p>The CHE College Enrollment Intern will work primarily as a member of the Postsecondary Transitions team supporting the implementation of Indiana Pre-Admissions: Your Path to College. The position will report to the Postsecondary Transitions Manager. There are three pillars guiding the CHE HOPE Agenda - college enrollment, college completion, and college graduate retention - and the Indiana Pre-Admissions: Your Path to College Program is designed increase college enrollment of Hoosier students immediately following high school graduation by matching students to higher education students in the state based on GPA and SAT for postsecondary education and training. The intern will collaborate internally with the K-12 Outreach, State Financial Aid, and Marketing and Communications teams, and externally with higher education leaders in enrollment management (admissions and financial aid) and high schools with the goal of pre-admitting 100% of students in the class of 2027 to four or more institutions for fall 2027 enrollment.</p> <p>A Day in the Life:</p> <p>The essential functions of this role are as follows:</p> <ul> <li>Communicate with K-12 school superintendents, principals, and counselors to (a) sign up for pre-admissions for the class of 2027 and (b) submit preliminary graduation information (GPA and diploma type) to CHE's ScholarTrack system to determine pre-admissions decisions. </li><li>Collaborate with CHE's State Financial Aid team to upload data from the Indiana Department of Education to the ScholarTrack system and support CHE's K-12 Outreach team to ensure that school rosters are up to date in the ScholarTrack system. </li><li>Communicate with the primary contacts for the participating higher education institutions to update https://learnmoreindiana.org/preadmit/ for the class of 2027 in collaboration with CHE's Marketing and Communication team. </li><li>Draft the August and September pre-admissions letters to be mailed to students and parents/guardians, as well as e-mail communications for high school counselors. </li><li>Partner with CHE's Postsecondary Transitions Manager and Content Marketing Specialist to develop e-mail and social media campaigns for the 2026-2027 academic year to encourage the class of 2027 to submit college applications and the 2027-2028 FAFSA. </li><li>Collaborate with CHE's Communications team on a press release and media outreach to promote Indiana Pre-Admissions, FAFSA filing, and Indiana's $400M+ in state financial aid. </li></ul> <p>The job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
