<p>Summary:</p> <p>As an Account Executive for Contra Costa Times, you will develop effective advertising programs to meet advertisers' marketing objectives with a combination of both print and digital advertising. You will cultivate relationships with clients with an emphasis on new business, while establishing and achieving department sales goals, both personal and team.</p> <p>What you will do:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead heavy prospecting and sales plan development for new and existing clients, with a specific focus on digital opportunities</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluate sales opportunities to design custom digital programs and craft proposals that clearly demonstrate value</p> </li><li> <p>Achieve sales goals and objectives, including key performance indicators like revenue, active accounts, contract performance, and market share</p> </li><li> <p>Manage sales administration tasks, such as aging and flash reports, while ensuring the accurate processing of all ad orders</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate high proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint</p> </li><li> <p>Apply a deep understanding of internet and mobile advertising to solve client challenges</p> </li><li> <p>Execute consultative selling strategies with a consistent ability to close a high volume of sales</p> </li></ul> <p>What you will bring:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Consultative selling expertise and a consistent ability to close a high volume of sales</p> </li><li> <p>Strong written and verbal communication skills alongside a commitment to providing exceptional customer service</p> </li><li> <p>Detail-oriented approach and the ability to manage your time effectively in a fast-paced environment</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study (preferred)</p> </li><li> <p>A proven track record of sales success and a drive to meet revenue targets (required)</p> </li><li> <p>Prior experience in media sales is a plus</p> </li></ul> <p>Benefits and Compensation:</p> <p>The hourly range is $21.65 - $26.45 + cell phone stipend, mileage reimbursement, and commission (on-target earning potential is $80,000).
