This role helps foster teamwork, strategic thinking, and personal growth through a positive and respectful team environment. The Assistant Coach provides guidance, encouragement, and supervision to help student-athletes compete with integrity and sportsmanship.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Head Coach in leading practices, team meetings, and competitive events. </li><li>Support students in developing game strategies, collaboration skills, and digital citizenship. </li><li>Help maintain a team culture centered around respect, responsibility, and effort. </li><li>Assist with team logistics such as communication, tournament preparation, and equipment coordination. </li><li>Monitor academic and behavioral expectations in line with FHSD and program guidelines. </li><li>Serve as a positive role model and mentor to student-athletes. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Completion of 60 or more college credit hours prior to coaching. </li><li>Knowledge of e-sports platforms and competitive gaming titles. </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills. </li><li>Ability to engage with students and contribute to a supportive team culture. </li><li>Awareness of eligibility requirements for student participation. </li></ul> <p>Eligible Applicants</p> <ul> <li>FHSD Certified Employees </li><li>FHSD Non-Certified Employees </li><li>Qualified External Candidates </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Experience working with students in a coaching, mentoring, or instructional capacity preferred. </li><li>Familiarity with e-sports or gaming platforms is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Excited to support the next generation of competitive gamers?</p> <p>We look forward to receiving your application and potentially welcoming you to the Francis Howell School District team!</p>
