<p>Job Title: Instructional Systems Designer (ISD)Job Description</p> <p>The Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering end-user training materials across various formats. This role emphasizes technical, business, and soft skills training, with a strong focus on automotive and manufacturing environments. The ISD collaborates with program managers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to create engaging and effective training solutions that support new system implementations and process improvements.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Design and develop training using ADDIE and SAM methodologies. </li><li>Deliver content across multiple formats such as Instructor-Led Training (ILT), Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT), Web-Based Training (WBT), self-paced learning, videos, podcasts, and job aids. </li><li>Create instructor and participant guides, technical manuals, and visual aids. </li><li>Partner with Program Managers to develop training plans and materials. </li><li>Work closely with SMEs to gather, validate, and coach on technical content. </li><li>Support training setup, testing, and delivery in technical environments. </li><li>Analyze training needs and align with business objectives. </li><li>Develop assessments and evaluations to measure training effectiveness. </li><li>Continuously improve courseware based on feedback and performance data. </li><li>Assist with promotional materials and communication plans. </li><li>Perform other job-related tasks as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Experience in instructional design and training development. </li><li>Proficiency with Articulate Storyline and Articulate 360. </li><li>Experience in manufacturing processes, particularly in automotive settings. </li><li>Familiarity with ADDIE and SAM methodologies. </li><li>Proficient in technical writing and curriculum development. </li><li>Experience with graphic design tools and Camtasia. </li><li>Proficiency in MS Office Suite. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree in Instructional Design/Technology Field. </li><li>Experience in creating instructor and participant guides. </li><li>Experience with graphic design tools for training promotion. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This role is based at a tech center in Warren, MI, with a hybrid work schedule (Monday and Friday work from home, Tuesday to Thursday in office). Some infrequent travel may be required (less than 10% overnight).
