We are looking for experience with plan, specification, and estimate packages as well as load rating experience. Join our team and help us shape the future of bridge design and construction.</p> <p>Typical Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Participate, lead, and review designs for a variety of bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects, assuming responsibility for design plans and calculations. </li><li>Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development. </li><li>Able to work independently and as part of a team. Must have good communication skills and a solutions-based approach. </li><li>Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of bridge design projects, from concept to construction, while ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. </li><li>Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, provide design recommendations, and address any concerns or questions throughout the project lifecycle. </li><li>Supervise staff as necessary to complete assignments. </li><li>Other duties may be assigned. </li><li>Relocation is available. </li></ul> <p>The base salary will be estimated between $125,000 - $145,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.</p> <p>Click HERE to see the variety of benefits Collins has to offer.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in civil engineering; master's degree preferred. </li><li>Professional engineer (P.E.) license is required; structural engineer (S.E.) certification preferred. </li><li>At least 10+ years of experience in bridge design, including 2 years at the Project Manager/EOR level. </li><li>Experience working with DOTs and/or municipalities. </li><li>Proven experience with AASHTO LRFD bridge design and DOT design guidelines. </li><li>Proficiency in industry-standard structural analysis and bridge design software. </li><li>Demonstrated success in managing preliminary and final design, preparation of construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates, as well as project scheduling and subcontractor management. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
