<p>POSITION: Program Coordinator</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Public Service Law Center</p> <p>STATUS: Full-time, Non-Exempt</p> <p>RANGE: $51,000 - $60,000</p> <p>Founded in 1901, Brooklyn Law School is a distinguished, independent law school located in Downtown Brooklyn, New York. The Law School is searching for a Program Coordinator to join our team. The Law School's size, vibrant employee and student population, and commitment to training the next generation of lawyers and promoting social justice, will offer a candidate the opportunity to develop and diversify practical skills and participate firsthand in operating a successful educational institution.</p> <p>Reporting to the Executive Director of Public Service Law Center (PSLC), the Program Coordinator will play a vital role in providing administrative support to the PSLC's efforts in student career counseling, public service programming and pro bono projects. To be successful in this role, the person should be passionate about public service and have strong interpersonal skills. These responsibilities are carried out in a customer centric environment that provides accurate and timely service to students, faculty, and others, and adheres to the school's best practices.?Under the direction of the Executive Director and with guidance from the Associate Dean for Inclusion & Diversity, this position will also contribute to special projects related to diversity, equity and inclusion, including supporting staff engagement and law student pipeline initiatives.</p> <p>Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Provide administrative support to the Executive Director of the Public Service Law Center and Associate Director of Community Engagement by maintaining records, updating social media and web materials, preparing newsletters, answering calls and inquiries, and preparing internal and external communications </li><li>Monitor, reconcile, and assist with fiscal administration for the department including, but not limited to, the department budget, PSLC expenses, and invoices </li><li>Manage and update the department's shared files and documents while maintaining confidentiality and discretion </li><li>Participates in annual planning and calendaring for recruiting programs and events. </li><li>Assists with public sector legal recruiting and outreach events, including supporting the Associate Director of Community Engagement with day-of logistics for live and virtual events. Inputs recruiting data into the Career Development Center database and creates related reports. Prepare resume books in response to public sector employer requests. </li><li>Develops marketing collateral and supports advertising programs for public sector employer outreach by coordinating the publishing of materials and information related to the PSLC's programs, activities, including social media postings, flyers, and posters </li><li>Supports data integrity of list of public sector employers (including law firms, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies) actively recruiting Brooklyn Law School students </li><li>Uses a variety of technology platforms to support PSLC programs and stays informed of technology tools. Routinely engages in troubleshooting and problem solving with systems and technologies that support virtual programs. </li><li>Manage the submission and follow-up on all Brooklyn Law School Graduate Fellowship, Sparer Fellowship, and other Brooklyn Law School Fellowships' financial forms and payment requests </li><li>Serve as contact for the PSLC with and other administrative departments such as Finance, the General Counsel's Office, Facilities, IT, AV, and outside vendors </li><li>Support the PSLC's pro bono program, inclusive of over 20 student-led projects, by monitoring deadlines are met. The coordinator collaborates with student leaders to facilitate pro bono project programming and development. The coordinator supports the Executive Director in determining and distributing semesterly budgets while maintaining detailed tracking systems for annual and program-specific spending. </li><li>Coordinate the scheduling of meetings, travel arrangements, and time sheet approvals for the directors of the Public Service Law Center </li><li>Any other duties assigned </li></ul> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>A Bachelor's degree </li><li>Minimum of 1-year related work experience is preferred, or internship/fellowship equivalent </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work within a team </li><li>Ability to manage, multi-task, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Strong commitment to meeting deadlines </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills the ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality </li><li>Strong facility with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Reader, Canva and Outlook. Experience with Canvas or the equivalent preferred.
