<p>Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic A for our client, a manufacturing facility, in Portland, OR. This role supports maintenance and repair of mechanical systems and production equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with mechanical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.</p> <p>Pay & Schedule</p> <p>Pay: $37.87/hour</p> <p>Shift: Overnight, 3-4-4-3 schedule</p> <p>Position Type: Direct Hire</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems </li><li>Maintain and repair equipment such as conveyors, bucket elevators, gears, chains, belts, and pumps </li><li>Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment </li><li>Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings </li><li>Support equipment uptime through timely repairs and maintenance planning </li><li>Operate equipment such as boom lifts and scissor lifts as needed </li><li>Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED </li><li>4+ years of maintenance experience, including at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment </li><li>Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills </li><li>Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings </li><li>Experience working in indoor and outdoor environments, including non-climate-controlled conditions </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and meet deadlines </li><li>Ability to distinguish colors and depth for safe equipment operation </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Welding and fabrication experience for equipment repair </li><li>Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing setting </li><li>Experience operating boom lifts and scissor lifts </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Medical </li><li>Dental </li><li>Paid Time Off </li><li>Union (Steel Workers) </li><li>Direct Hire </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This role operates in a manufacturing environment with both indoor and outdoor work areas.
