<p>Apply</p> <p>Description</p> <p>The Credit and Collections Assistant is responsible for verifying and recording accounts receivable transactions across all entities within the Mittera Group. This role follows established procedures for processing receipts, cash handling, and may also prepare bank deposits. Additional responsibilities may include performing general clerical tasks related to accounting functions.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Generate customer invoices with accurate expense coding in accordance with departmental standards. </li><li>Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely payment in alignment with established terms. </li><li>Maintain precise and up-to-date records of company receivables. </li><li>Prepare and distribute reports, including aged trial balances and other financial summaries as needed. </li><li>Perform general clerical and accounting-related tasks as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications: To successfully perform this role, individuals must be able to meet the essential job requirements with competence and consistency. The qualifications outlined below reflect the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for effective performance. Work hours may vary based on departmental staffing needs.</p> <p>Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED and 2+ years experience; associate's degree in accounting is strongly preferred. Requires foundational knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and 1-2 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and proficiency in computer-based tools, including spreadsheets, batch data processing, and reporting systems.</p> <p>Language Skills: Skilled in reading and interpreting a wide range of documents. Capable of drafting clear and effective employee communications and routine business correspondence. Communicates confidently and professionally with diverse audiences, from senior leadership to front-line production staff, including public speaking in peer group settings.</p> <p>Mathematical Skills: Proficient in performing mathematical operations involving whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Skilled in calculating rates, ratios, and percentages across various units of measure.</p> <p>Reasoning Ability: Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in situations with limited standardization. Capable of interpreting and applying diverse instructions presented in written, verbal, diagrammatic, or scheduled formats. Maintains composure and emotional resilience when faced with challenging or unpredictable circumstances.</p> <p>Other Skills and Abilities: Proficient in operating personal computers and utilizing a variety of software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel). Demonstrates strong organizational skills in managing records and information. Skilled in error prevention and problem-solving. Maintains professional etiquette and effective communication.</p> <p>Safety and General:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA and EPA federal and state regulations, as well as company-specific safety policies and procedures. </li><li>Use hearing protection as required while on the production floor. </li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas on a daily basis. </li><li>Support the Safety Committee and participate in safety initiatives as requested or needed. </li></ul> <p>Work Environmental Factors: The Work Environmental Factors described below are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.</p> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <p>Physical Activity Requirements:</p> <p>Occasional = 33% or less of the workday</p> <p>Frequent = 34 - 66% of the workday</p> <p>Constant - 67 - 100% of the workday</p> <p>Pushing/Pulling 50 lbs.</p> <p>Lifting minimum per day 30 - 50 lbs. Constantly</p> <p>Requires use of proper body mechanics with pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, squatting, kneeling and bending.</p> <p>Requires 4-6 hours of daily work at a computer workstation or operating other standard office equipment.</p> <p>Requires fine motor hand and arm movement, manual dexterity and coordination.</p> <p>Requires near visual acuity.</p> <p>Requires working around and operating departmental equipment.</p> <p>Requires the ability to function in a professional manner under stressful circumstances.</p> <p>Hours may vary depending on departmental staffing needs.</p> <p>Must comply with dress code of department/company.</p> <p>Salary Description</p> <p>$18.00 - $22.00 per hour</p>
