Greets and welcomes the patients and other staff to the radiology department. They check the patients in, answer phone inquiries from patients and hospital personnel. Answers incoming calls, taking adequate messages. </li><li>Faxes or mails reports as requested. </li><li>Burns CD or pushes images electronically as requested. Release of information is then documented in Quick disclosure. </li><li>Digitizes mammography films as needed and loads outside images into the PACS system. </li><li>Notifies technologists of STAT procedures and additions or cancellations to the schedule. </li><li>Do weekly QC check for mammography. </li><li>Assists Imaging Technologists with obtaining checklist and screening forms. </li><li>Assists Imaging Technologists with patient throughput. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to read and write English at the equivalent of a high school graduate </li><li>Six months previous medical-related field </li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology </li><li>Accurate data entry </li></ul>
