Engage in meaningful projects that not only improve infrastructure but also shape community futures through sustainable development.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Collect and analyze project data. </li><li>Lead or assist in the design and development of roadway plans, specifications, design calculations, and technical documents. </li><li>Calculate quantities and develop cost estimates. </li><li>Produce complete plan sets. </li><li>Collaborate with other design disciplines. </li><li>Utilize excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. </li><li>Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university. </li><li>0 - 2 years of experience in civil engineering. </li><li>Familiarity with MicroStation, GEOPAK/Corridor Modeling, and OpenRoads Designer. </li><li>Knowledge of NCDOT roadway design guidelines, standards, and specifications is a plus. </li><li>Experience with NCDOT highway design is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Previous internships with civil engineering firms are advantageous. </li><li>Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD Civil 3D, land development, site development, grading, drainage, stormwater, site design, and site planning. </li><li>EIT certification and project management skills are beneficial. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The role offers a flexible work environment with a combination of in-office and work-from-home options, with remote work available two days a week.
