<p>Kforce has a client in Knoxville, TN that is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk responsible for performing tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, and management of materials, supplies and equipment.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Receives and prepares incoming materials for input into inventory </li><li>Verifies the quantity and condition of materials </li><li>Loads/unloads boxes, pallets, etc. onto truck for delivery </li><li>Prepares records of goods shipped and received, maintains accurate inventory count and resolves discrepancies via appropriate computer program </li><li>Sorts and places materials on rack or shelves according to predetermined sequence </li><li>Assists in performing physical inventory to ensure adequate stocking levels </li><li>May call vendors or suppliers for quotes and estimated delivery schedules </li><li>Utilizes appropriate method of identification for labeling materials; i.e. bar codes </li><li>May prepare parcels for mailing or pallets for outbound shipping </li><li>Maintains a clean and organized work environment in the warehouse and work area, which may include basic janitorial duties </li><li>Accommodate rushed and established Service Level Agreements (SLA)* High School diploma/GED or equivalent </li><li>0-1year of related experience </li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds </li><li>Must possess appropriate state driver's license </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills/Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to understand basic instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form </li><li>Basic reading, writing, and organizational skills </li><li>Computer experience in Word and Excel preferred </li><li>Ability to work as part of a team </li></ul>
