<p>The Instrumentation and Control Division is a growing team dedicated to supporting Water Treatment, Water Recovery, Water Resources, and Water Collection and Distribution divisions to ensure their equipment and systems operate efficiently. This role is an opportunity to work collaboratively in a team focused on serving and supporting our customers.</p> <p>The Position: The I&C Technician oversees the instrumentation and controls equipment and systems as well as provides technical leadership and support to operations of the City's collections, distribution, reuse, water and wastewater treatment facilities.  This role is responsible for control system programming, SCADA/DCS software integrity, and leadership in maintenance efforts. Project planning, troubleshooting electrical circuits and network systems, and managing SCADA nodes and HMIs are central, reflecting a focus on innovation and efficiency for seamless operations.</p> <p>The Ideal Candidate: Preferred candidates will possess experience in industrial automation or instrumentation and control systems, particularly in applications relevant to Water/Wastewater treatment, collection and distribution, or the Oil and Gas industry. Candidates should possess the ability to update and manage PLC programming, SCADA programming, maintain databases, maintain communication hardware and Operational Technology (OT) networks.  In addition, candidates should also possess the ability to interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Loop Diagrams, and Wiring Diagrams, enabling them to assist in leading maintenance efforts, and troubleshoot a range of equipment and systems. Candidates must meet the minimum required years of work experience. </p> <p>NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be 18 years of age or older.
