<p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Location Cambridge, MassachusettsUS Job ID REQ-056418</p> <p>Job Description Summary:</p> <p>We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to support flow cytometry core operations and contribute to the development of innovative cellular assays. This role will ensure optimal instrument performance, provide expert guidance to internal teams, and design robust assays to advance immunology and biomarker discovery programs.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Instrument & Core Support</p> <ul> <li>Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair flow cytometry instruments in the core laboratory. </li><li>Document instrument usage and maintenance history; ensure compliance with safety and data integrity standards. </li><li>Manage lab supplies and reagents for uninterrupted operations. </li><li>Provide training and consultation on cytometry technologies; support cell sorting in collaboration with core staff. </li></ul> <p>Assay Development & Scientific Support</p> <ul> <li>Design and optimize flow cytometry protocols for immunophenotyping and biomarker analysis. </li><li>Collaborate with project teams to develop and validate cellular assays. </li><li>Analyze and interpret complex flow data; deliver actionable insights. </li><li></li></ul> <p>Critical Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Flow cytometry sample preparation (intracellular and surface staining). </li><li>Familiarity with at least 3 instruments (e.g., Fortessa, LSR II, Symphony, Celesta, Attune NxT, Aurora, Sony ID7000/MA900). </li><li>Proficiency in FlowJo/FCSExpress; experience with high-dimensional data analysis tools (e.g., Cytobank, Omiq). </li><li>Strong record-keeping and troubleshooting skills; familiarity with electronic lab notebooks. </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline with 5 years of industry experience.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with mass cytometry. </li><li>Immunoassays (MSD, ELISA, Luminex). </li><li>Biospecimen processing (blood, primary cells, tissues). </li><li>Building in vitro cellular assays. </li><li></li></ul> <p>Working Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to work in a laboratory, controlled environments requiring personal protective equipment (e.g. lab coat, safety glasses, etc.) in laboratory. </li><li>Employee may be required to handle hazardous waste according to local, state, and federal regulations. Duties may include identifying, handling, generating, accumulating, storing and labeling hazardous waste. </li><li>Potential risk to lab-based hazards including but not limited to extreme temperature, biological materials, and hazardous chemicals. </li><li>May be required to complete Medical Clearance, Respiratory Protection Training, and Fit Testing to wear a respirator as protection against hazards present in the laboratory environment. </li></ul> <p>The annual?compensation range for this full-time position is $85,000 to $100,000. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.</p>
