With industry-leading innovation and growth opportunities, this is your chance to gain valuable experience and advance your career with a respected name in the field!</p> <ul> <li>Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 5am-3:30pm* </li></ul> <p>Summary</p> <p>Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Material Handling Technician is responsible for operating a forklift and loading, unloading and moving materials around the plant or warehouse to a designated area, following the production/shipping schedule.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Moves parts or material from one destination to another within the shop floor or warehouse. </li><li>Stages materials ready for shipping </li><li>Loads parts or materials onto trucks for shipping, or into shelves/racks for temporary storage </li><li>Unloads raw material or finished parts from trucks or shelves, and moves them to the assigned space </li><li>Operates a multi-directional forklift or similar equipment </li><li>Operates overhead crane </li><li>Works closely with team members and communicates in an efficient way </li><li>Complies with safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE at all times </li><li>Checks work area for hazards </li><li>Leaves work area in a clean/safe state when shift is complete </li></ul> <p>Qualifications: Education and/or Experience</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred </li><li>Experience working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment preferred </li><li>Forklift certification required </li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints </li></ul>
