Must be comfortable with heights (climb ladders and walk/work on roofs). General knowledge of hand tools and have their own basic tools for the workplace. Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to follow instructions, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve grounds-related issues. On-the-job training provided as necessary.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Meet with Operations Manager daily to receive the schedule, work orders, and report on progress of current assigned work. Able to work full-time. Work under the direction of the Grounds Supervisor. Daily community-wide trash pickup. Repair and build various types of fences and gates. Perform minor drainage repairs and assist with drainage-related issues, just in case of emergencies. Paint curbs, speed bumps, and parking spaces. Power wash common elements (sidewalks, retaining walls, brick, etc.). Trim and remove bushes and trees. Install, water, and care for plants and flowers. Clean gutters, scuppers, downspouts, and rooftops on an as-needed basis. Knowledge of snow operations will be a plus (Bobcat, snow blower, snowplow, etc.) Experience with a farm tractor will be a plus Over time, if necessary, as determined by the Operations Manager Available for occasional grounds-related emergencies after hours, on weekends, or on holidays.
