<p>Apply</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>To ensure a quality dining experience by managing dining room staff is well trained, knowledgeable about all menus and that all dining room employees are providing a high degree of hospitality and service, in accordance with HRA standards. This position reports to the Director of Hospitality and may be required to supervise other staff positions.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Design, plan, and implement standards, policies, and programs that positively impact the delivery of service to our residents </li><li>Solicit resident and employee feedback with regard to customer service standards and programming </li><li>Ensures smooth and timely opening of the dining room </li><li>Inspects side work to ensure completion and closes dining room </li><li>Ensures an adequate number of service employees each shift and ensures absences are covered as to not allow coverage holes </li><li>Assists service staff during mealtime as needed </li><li>Conducts required training sessions, weekly/monthly/quarterly </li><li>Make recommendation as to the hiring, firing, advancement and or promotion of staff. </li><li>Is knowledgeable of all menus and descriptions </li><li>Provides supervision for special functions </li><li>Performs Manager On Duty responsibilities when assigned </li><li>The ability to work in a safe and alert manner </li><li>The ability to take ownership for associate's safety and the safety of the residents </li><li>Must disclose any medication that might impair associate's ability to perform the job safely or competently </li></ul> <p>Non-Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Leads by example exhibiting the CORE Values through servant leadership </li><li>Encourages teamwork and promotes company philosophy </li><li>Attends required community meetings and participates Life Enrichment activities when able </li><li>Completes all required courses in adherence with HRA University </li><li>Is prompt and able to perform the required duties of the position on a regular, predictable basis </li><li>Becomes familiar and understands how to report a missing person using the Safe Return program or equivalent </li><li>All associates are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all community residents </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience </li><li>SERV-SAFE certified or equivalent </li><li>Obtain/hold any local, state and/or county required food handling/sanitation licenses and/or certificates. </li><li>Must possess a passion to work with and around senior citizens </li></ul> <p>Background Screening Requirement</p> <p>In all Florida Companies, this position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
