<ul> <li>Accept and implement the co-curricular philosophy of Argos Jr-Sr High School. </li><li>Follow the rules & regulations of the school, conference, and Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA). </li><li>Attend rules interpretation meeting held by the IHSAA (varsity). </li><li>Participate in appropriate coach associations to represent our school and students (varsity). </li><li>Attend training to improve coaching skills and stay current with new trends. </li><li>Attend coaching staff meetings. </li><li>Give input to the Athletic Director (AD) regarding game and practice schedules. </li><li>Schedule, plan (in writing) and carry out training sessions. </li><li>Confirm transportation arrangements. </li><li>Supervise sport equipment, including maintaining a current uniform roster, and providing such to the AD. Supervision collection of uniforms post-season. </li><li>Inspect facilities and provide assistance and input to the AD, including off-season and pre- and post-game activities. </li><li>Report scores to appropriate media and websites (varsity). </li><li>Maintain appropriate team and individual statistics and submit such to the AD upon completion of the season. </li><li>Participate in post-season evaluation meeting with the AD (varsity). </li><li>Delegate responsibility to assistant coaches as appropriate. </li><li>Work to develop continuity between the community and school programs. </li><li>Provide leadership and oversight to all levels of the program (varsity). </li><li>Always support other program coaches to parents, media and teams. Any criticism should be constructive and among the staff. </li><li>Certify that all students have the appropriate paperwork submitted prior to participation in practices and games. </li><li>Maintain appropriate supervision at all times (locker rooms, practices, events, bus rides, etc.) </li><li>Complete and submit to the AD any required injury reports. </li><li>Assure that the team at all times will reflect proper attitude and conduct. </li><li>Encourage students to participate in other sports and activities. Do not encourage specialization. </li><li>Establish and use a system of communication to athletes and parents that will include explanation of polices, awards, procedures, expectations, goals and schedules. </li><li>Supervise and conduct end-of-season awards programs in accordance with the student handbook. </li><li>Represent the school in a professional manner in demeanor, language, and conduct, as directed by the AD. </li><li>All other duties as assigned by the AD. </li></ul>
