<p>Certified Group Fitness Dance Instructors</p> <p>Join the Y team</p> <p>Come make a difference!</p> <p>The East YMCA of Dane County is looking for evening group fitness dance Instructors. Certified styles such as WERQ and Zumba are welcome. Bring your energy and for to share with our members! Be part of the larger community picture - build lasting relationships with staff and members, promote health and safety in fitness programming to support total wellness.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provides high quality, safe and motivating instruction based on certified dance formats; provides adaptations based on individual needs. </li><li>Increases member retention by providing personalized member experiences and building positive relationships with and among members, staff, volunteers and/or guests. Creates a supportive and uplifting community environment. </li><li>Facilitates the development of small communities, helping members to connect with other members. </li><li>Ensures the safety of all members and guests. </li><li>Be available to support fellow instructors by subbing where possible. </li><li>Utilize our fitness instructor app as an information hub, sub requests, attendance tracking, etc. </li><li>Work within our class perimeters of in-person, virtual and outdoors </li><li>Utilize excellent communication skills with members, coworkers and supervisors </li><li>Complete required facility training programs when necessary </li></ul> <p>Position Skills and Experience :</p> <ul> <li>Must be at least 18 years of age. </li><li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred. </li><li>Current Group Fitness Dance certification required. </li><li>Flexibility in scheduling is preferred, including weekday evenings. </li></ul> <p>Benefits offered:</p> <ul> <li>FREE YMCA Membership! </li><li>Rate dependent on certifications and number of years teaching. </li><li>Get paid additional to set up time before/after class. </li><li>Tons of smiles, laughs and FUN while working </li></ul>
