<p>Do you enjoy solving problems and helping others with technology? Join our IT team as an Information Technology and Telecommunications Technical Support Technician, where you'll be the go-to resource for faculty and staff needing tech support.</p> <p>In this role, you'll provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance through tickets, phone, email, chat, and in-person support. Whether it's unlocking accounts, resetting passwords, or troubleshooting issues, you'll help keep our campus running smoothly by following clear policies and procedures.</p> <p>This is a great opportunity for someone who loves technology and enjoys working in a collaborative, service-oriented environment.</p> <p>Reports to the Director of Information Technology and Telecommunications.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Respond to technical support requests from faculty and staff through phone, email, chat, helpdesk ticketing system, or in-person interactions.</p> </li><li> <p>Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network connectivity, and account login issues across various platforms.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist users with password resets, account unlocks, and access permissions in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Install, configure, image, and deploy Windows computers and software packages.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain and update internal IT documentation and standard operating procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain the IT asset inventory, including receiving, tagging, and entering newly received equipment into inventory systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Organize and process all incoming IT equipment and prepare devices for deployment.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide evening on-site IT support for faculty and staff as scheduled.</p> </li><li> <p>Log, prioritize, and track technical support requests and resolutions using helpdesk software.</p> </li><li> <p>Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.</p> </li><li> <p>Stay current with emerging technologies and make recommendations for system or process improvements.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Preference will be given to applicants with post- secondary education.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate effective communication skills and advanced organizational skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Aptitude and desire to quickly obtain new skills and undertake challenges.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent customer service skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Professional, responsible, friendly, and able to work in an educational institution.</p> </li><li> <p>Must possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be proficient in business computer software applications, specifically Microsoft Office.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently, manage multiple work assignments, and meet deadlines.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work with individuals of all racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Spanish speaking proficiency desirable.</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
