<p>Description</p> <p>Position at Sumitomo Electric U.S.A., Inc.</p> <p>The salary range for this position is from $80,000 to $90,000 per year.</p> <p>(Full-Time, Exempt position)</p> <p>I. Job Summary:</p> <p>We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Hyper Scale DC Program Specialist to be responsible for analyzing forecast from the largest Hyper Scale customer and coordinate with multiple production entities to efficiently develop/update production planning in order to realize timely delivery of goods to such customer. The Hyper Scale DC Program Specialist manages and coordinates multiple purchase orders and the related logistical aspects required considering frequently changing priority. Based on those work, the Hyper Scale DC Program Specialist will communicate with customer for production plan, delivery schedule and/or delivery priority change. Also, the Hyper Scale Program Specialist will handle variety of data in D365 data base for smooth and efficient control of purchase order, stock, and delivery. In addition, this position will handle BOM (bill of material), production planning, and labor purchase order transaction for its group company. As a Hyper Scale Program Specialist, you will interact with multiple internal departments, other group companies, and our contracted outside logistic partners and will work directly with the customer on a daily basis. This position will require a high degree of self-motivation, organizational skills and being able to work efficiently without significant direct supervision.</p> <p>II. Duties/Responsibilities:</p> <p>1) Analyzing forecast from the large Hyper Scale customer</p> <ul> <li>Compare last forecast and the latest forecast to find out differences in between. </li><li>Estimate monthly sales based on the latest forecast. </li><li>Ask customers any questions on forecast which needed for our smooth production planning including missing/incomplete information in the forecast. </li><li>Communicate with other teams to collect missing/additional information which are required for production planning. </li></ul> <p>2) Coordinate with multiple production entities</p> <ul> <li>Distribute the forecast with own analysis and findings. </li><li>Lead discussion of how to reflect the latest forecast into each production entity's production planning </li></ul> <p>3) Manages and coordinates multiple purchase orders and the related logistical aspects</p> <ul> <li>Receive multiple purchase orders for multiple different projects/delivery locations every week. </li><li>Closely monitor status of production, shipment to warehouse and shipment from warehouse. </li><li>Reflect change in priority of production and delivery based on close communication with customer, and work with production entities and logistics partner to reflect such change in priority in timely manner enable deliveries to be made without delay. </li></ul> <p>4) Handle ERP (D365) system</p> <ul> <li>Input purchase order, issue sales order for production, sprit or revise sales order along with delivery schedule. </li><li>Input and update stock, delivery information in the system. </li><li>Strongly encouraged to propose improvement how to utilize D365's functions based on actual workflow and needs. </li></ul> <p>5) Handle BOM (bill of material), production planning, and labor purchase order transaction of affiliate company.</p> <ul> <li>For specific production entity, based on communication with personnel of such entity, input/update BOM in system, and issue production planning and labor purchase order in timely manner. </li><li>In the D365 system, transfer the finished goods from such production entity to logistics partner's warehouse for timely asset management. </li><li>Reconcile shortages at factory. </li><li>Reconcile finished goods inventory at logistics partner's warehouse. </li></ul> <p>6) Continued improvement activities</p> <ul> <li>Constant evaluation of company's systems and processes to look for ways and/or methods to improve on current practices. </li><li>Involvement with customer on projects related to system and process improvements </li><li>Continually expanding knowledge base within D365 </li></ul> <p>7) Interaction with internal and external employees</p> <p>8) Develop and prepare executive/administrative reports as directed</p> <p>III. Marginal Functions</p> <ul> <li>Support occasional matters as directed. </li></ul> <p>IV. Required Skills/Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Basic understanding of fiber optic cabling, connectorization, and network components. </li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex production and logistics data. </li><li>Good communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships. </li><li>Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change. </li><li>Strong analytical, and project management skills. </li><li>Proficiency in D365 systems and supply chain software. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships. </li><li>Knowledge and experience of quality assurance and control. </li><li>Preferable skill: Rich knowledge and experiences of VBA, Access, Java and/or other programming tools with actual experiences to implement automation of administrative transactions effectively. </li><li>Pressure for deadlines - short time frame responses </li><li>Ability to process large amounts of email/chat traffic. </li><li>Ability to efficiently communicate with others by summarizing problem, question, status and so on, unlike just forwarding e-mail or chat message without enough explanation. </li><li>Willingness to work as a team, providing leadership to the department. </li><li>Extremely well organized and must demonstrate some Project Management skills. </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft products especially Excel. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal skills </li></ul> <p>V. Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or Minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience. </li><li>Proven experience within a supply chain management, project management, inventory management or production management. </li></ul> <p>VI. Position in Organization:</p> <p>Reports to Director, DC Connectivity Product Management</p> <p>Directly Supervises: None</p> <p>VII. Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Work is performed in an office environment and requires the physical and motor skills typical of an office environment, including, but not limited to: prolonged sitting, working on a computer, using telephones, handheld technology and other office equipment, standing, walking and stooping. </li><li>May be occasionally required to lift objects such as files, boxes of paper, office supplies, and computer / office equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. </li><li>Ability to routinely concentrate, focus and read for general understanding and analytical purposes and ability to communicate effectively. </li></ul> <p>VIII.
