In this role, you will collaborate across external service</p> <p>providers (carriers, freight forwarders, fulfillment service providers), Strategy,</p> <p>Product, Engineering, Operations, Analytics, Procurement, and other internal</p> <p>partners to build transportation solutions that provide our sellers with a choice of</p> <p>affordable shipping services and for our buyers, a best-in-class delivery experience.</p> <p>The Ship with Walmart Delivery Programs and Performance Manager will be</p> <p>responsible for Walmart's delivery reliability and operational continuity within the</p> <p>SWW business team. This role ensures that every package delivered through</p> <p>Walmart's network meets the highest standards of timeliness, quality, and service</p> <p>consistency. This role will also serve as the operational owner of business</p> <p>continuity, coordinating carrier performance, resolving outages, and collaborating</p> <p>with analytics and product partners to drive measurable improvement in speed</p> <p>and On Time Delivery (OTD) metrics. A successful manager within this role will be</p> <p>able to manage the short-term tactical performance of the SWW program while</p> <p>also focusing on building the long-term capabilities to increase SWW's value</p> <p>proposition to customers, sellers, and Walmart.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Program Management & Cross-Functional Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Lead end-to-end program management for delivery-performance initiatives, new capability launches, and cross-carrier enhancements within the SWW ecosystem. </li><li>Drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Strategy, and Operations to ensure clear requirements, roadmap clarity, and coordinated execution. </li><li>Establish program governance, operating mechanisms, and reporting frameworks to provide visibility into program status, risks, and milestones. </li><li>Translate operational and customer insights into structured program plans that inform product strategy and future enhancements. </li></ul> <p>Delivery Reliability & Operational Excellence</p> <ul> <li>Own OTD, speed, and delivery-reliability metrics across all carriers and sellers participating in SWW. </li><li>Lead daily performance reviews, defect triage, and incident management routines to ensure operational continuity and SLA adherence. </li><li>Coordinate responses to outages and service disruptions, driving rapid recovery and clear cross-team communication. </li><li>Monitor and refine key KPIs for reliability, downtime, defect rates, and root-cause categories, ensuring they ladder up to strategic goals. </li></ul> <p>Analytics, Insights & Process Improvement</p> <ul> <li>Partner with analytics, data science, and product teams to identify performance levers, build measurement frameworks, and validate improvements. </li><li>Analyze carrier, seller, and system-level data to identify trends, prioritize opportunities, and develop structured action plans. </li><li>Drive continuous improvement by integrating learnings from escalations, defects, and post-mortems into updated processes and product requirements. </li><li>Champion operational excellence by identifying gaps, creating repeatable frameworks, and building scalable processes to support growth. </li></ul> <p>Stakeholder Communication & Executive Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Represent SWW delivery performance in leadership forums, program reviews, and cross-functional updates. </li><li>Prepare and deliver clear, data-backed communication for executives and stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and strategic recommendations. </li><li>Serve as the central point of coordination for cross-team dependencies impacting delivery reliability or program execution </li></ul> <p>At Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet.
