<p>Summary</p> <p>Elephas, a Madison, WI-based biotechnology start-up company, is seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist to join our team. Applicants should be comfortable in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will directly contribute to the development of Elephas' cancer diagnostics platform. Previous work experience in a CLIA certified lab is required.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Achieves successful outcomes on experimentation as a higher-level contributor </li><li>Handles and processes live biological specimens safely and free from contamination in tissue culture </li><li>Plans experiment with guidance and input from Scientists/Supervisor/Manager </li><li>Analyze data and summarize experimental observations and findings </li><li>Prepare reagents and buffers </li><li>Operate and maintain laboratory equipment </li><li>Keep accurate and timely records in electronic laboratory notebook </li><li>Adhere to all safety protocols </li><li>Coordinates written reports to summarize studies </li><li>Participates in data meetings by sharing outcomes </li><li>Contributes to development of procedures and protocols </li><li>Works collaboratively with team members to drive innovation </li></ul> <p>Education/Experience/Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in biology, immunology, molecular biology, developmental biology, bioengineering, biophysics, or a related life sciences discipline </li><li>Familiarity with standard laboratory instrumentation </li><li>Experience in safe biological specimen handling methods </li><li>Familiarity with histology is preferred </li><li>Laboratory experience in a CLIA laboratory required </li></ul> <p>Position Type/Expected Hours of Work</p> <p>This is a full-time position.
