<p>Job Overview:</p> <p>We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineering Intern to support our engineering team with the design, testing, analysis, and documentation of electrical systems and components. This internship offers hands-on experience working on real-world engineering projects in a collaborative, professional environment.</p> <p>Aptim is a leading provider in integrated, comprehensive services in a variety of markets and industry. This is a temporary position.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:</p> <ul> <li>Work activities include collection and interpretation of engineering data, development of project design basis, development of specifications, and performance of detailed engineering. </li><li>Assist in the design and development of electrical systems and components </li><li>Support schematic creation, wiring diagrams, and layouts </li><li>Assist with electrical testing, troubleshooting, and validation </li><li>Collect and analyze engineering data </li><li>Support testing </li><li>Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and reports </li><li>Participate in design reviews and engineering meetings </li><li>Follow company safety, quality, and compliance standards </li><li>Ensures conformance to applicable engineering codes and standards as well as company policies and procedures. </li><li>Is aware of costs and schedule related to own work. </li><li>Organizes own work to meet deadlines set by others. </li><li>Communicates information, asks questions and checks for understanding. </li><li>Contributes to a team environment </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering </li><li>Completion of at least one year of core engineering coursework </li><li>Basic understanding of circuit analysis and electrical principles </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) </li><li>Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills </li><li>Ability to work independently and in a team environment </li><li>Has basic knowledge of theories, practices and procedures in electrical engineering. </li><li>Experience with schematic capture or PCB design tools </li><li>Familiarity with test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies) </li><li>Basic knowledge of power systems, controls, or electronics </li><li>Programming experience (MATLAB, Python, C/C++, or PLCs, CADD) </li><li>Prior internship, lab, or relevant project experience </li><li>FE and EIT candidates preferred. </li><li>Ability to work independently and in a diverse team setting </li><li>Willingness to work across Engineering disciplines </li><li>Strong multitasking skills </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills </li></ul> <p>ABOUT APTIM</p> <p>APTIM is committed to accelerating the transition toward a clean and efficient energy economy, building a sustainable future for our communities and natural world, and creating a more inclusive and equitable environment that celebrates the diversity of our communities.
