<p>Position Title Senior Research Assistant (Safadi) Position Type Research Department Biomedical Sciences Full or Part Time Full Time Pay Grade MN6</p> <p>Position Summary Information</p> <p>Department Specific Information</p> <p>Starting Salary Range: $37,680 - $40,000, commensurate with experience</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Assist the Principal Investigator in conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing and interpreting data, maintaining laboratory and equipment, purchasing of laboratory supplies and ensuring compliance with safety and ethical standards.</p> <p>Principal Functional Responsibilities</p> <p>Experimental Assistance: Assist with experiments and perform research projects in collaboration with the designated Principal Investigator and other researchers. Execute experimental procedures with precision and attention to detail. Maintain animal colonies and prepare animals for various research protocols including anesthesia, surgical procedures and sample collection. Responsible for uncovering best practices for laboratory techniques via literature database searches.</p> <p>Data Analysis: Record and organize data generated from experiments. Analyze experimental results using appropriate software and tools. Summarize and interpret findings and contribute to the preparation of research reports. Compile and update laboratory notebooks, databases, and electronic records with detailed records of the experimental procedures, observations and results.</p> <p>Laboratory Maintenance, Compliance and Safety: Maintain laboratory in a clean and orderly manner. Ensure the proper functioning of equipment and promptly report any issues. Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment used for animal care and experimentation. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure work environment. Follow ethical standards and regulatory requirements applicable to the research field.</p> <p>Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or training </li><li>Minimum 2 years research experience required </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications Physical Requirements</p> <p>Ability to collect and analyze experimental data and handle animals.
