<p>SUMMARY: Logan university is seeking an entry-level Audio Visual (AV) Technician to join the Academic Technology Services team. The AV Technician will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audio-visual equipment to support a variety of academic and extracurricular activities, including classroom, lectures, conferences, workshops, and live events. This customer-focused role provides front-line support for classroom and learning space technology across campus. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service and a willingness to learn. Training will be provided.</p> <p>The specific duties include:</p> <ul> <li>Set up, operate, and maintain audio, video, and lighting equipment for academic activities; including lectures, conferences, workshops, and seminars. </li><li>Provide AV support for live events such as performances, guest lectures, and university ceremonies. </li><li>Perform classroom maintenance on the integrated audio-visual system used around campus in a variety of environments. </li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with AV equipment promptly to avoid disruptions during academic sessions and live events. </li><li>Collaborate with faculty, staff, and event organizers to understand and meet their AV requirements. </li><li>Manage and maintain an inventory of AV equipment, ensuring all devices are in good working condition and properly stored. </li><li>Assist in the installation and integration of new AV systems and upgrades to existing setups. </li><li>Document AV setups and procedures for various venues and events to ensure consistency and efficiency in future operations. </li><li>Stay updated with the latest AV technologies and industry trends to improve service quality continually. </li><li>Work collaboratively with the Academic Technology Services team. </li></ul>
