<p>Quality Control Chemist</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a diligent Quality Control Chemist to perform testing and evaluations of raw materials, bulk, and finished products in adherence to written procedures. This role is crucial in ensuring product quality specifications and customer standards are met to the highest satisfaction.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform testing and evaluations of raw materials, bulk, and finished products according to written procedures. </li><li>Ensure current standard operating and test procedures are utilized and documentation records are accurate, complying with GMP requirements. </li><li>Develop and maintain an understanding of various testing methodologies, including appropriate techniques and potential errors. </li><li>Maintain neat and accurate records and clean, organized work areas. </li><li>Ensure product quality specifications and customer standards are consistently met. </li><li>Perform batch adjustments as needed and troubleshoot out-of-specification situations. </li><li>Utilize data to focus improvement efforts to meet customer requirements and regulatory regulations. </li><li>Accurately record all data in compliance with cGMP and document Key Quality Incidents monthly. </li><li>Document out-of-specification situations, determine root causes, and suggest possible solutions. </li><li>Maintain compliance with current regulatory expectations and practices, such as USP. </li><li>Promote a culture of 'lean action' within the department. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. </li><li>0-2 years of quality control industry experience in pharma, cosmetics, or food. </li><li>Proficiency in laboratory skills, including the use of a pH meter, Brookfield spindle viscometer, and analytical balances. </li><li>Ability to perform visual and odor inspections daily. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with solution preparation, wet chemistry titrations, HPLC, GC, and UV is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job</p> <p>classification and length of employment.
